Since the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) came into effect, Zhongshan Customs has strengthened policy promotion and improved certificate application service to help enterprises seize new market opportunities.

In the first half of 2023, Zhongshan Customs issued a total of 1,741 preference certificates of origin (C/O) under the RCEP to more than 110 enterprises in Zhongshan, involving a total goods value of over 470 million yuan, up approximately 70% and 71% year on year respectively. Exported goods mainly included plastic products, textile products, leather products, furniture and lighting products.

With the implementation of the RCEP, enterprises have become increasingly enthusiastic about and familiar with the policy. In the first half, enterprises that applied for RCEP C/Os from Zhongshan Custom increased 23% from a year earlier.
