The 29th China (Guzhen) International Lighting Fair (GILF) commenced on October 22 at the Guzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Zhongshan.

With the Guzhen Convention and Exhibition Center as the main venue, the GILF also took place concurrently in eight sub-venues, including the Lihe Lighting Expo Center, the Huayi Plaza and the Star Alliance. The total exhibition area exceeded 1.5 million square meters, with more than 3,300 exhibitors.

At the opening ceremony, Guzhen Town signed 14 projects with enterprises, with a total investment of over one billion yuan and an estimated annual output value of about 2.5 billion yuan.

The five-day GILF is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors from 140 countries and regions around the world, including more than 6,000 first-time overseas visitors.

"My friends tell me that Guzhen is China's largest production and sales hub for the lighting industry, so I specially come here to do purchasing," says Patrice from Cameroon, adding that he is currently working on a lighting project for the government, which needs a batch of street lamps. He will conclude this procurement at the GILF.
