The China Customs magazine recently released a report on foreign trade competitiveness of cities of China for 2022, with a total of 10 cities in Guangdong making the list.

Shenzhen topped the list, while Guangzhou, Dongguan, Zhuhai and Zhongshan ranked 5th, 8th, 9th and 26th respectively.

In 2022, Zhongshan's total import and export value exceeded 270 billion yuan for the first time, reaching a record high of 279.87 billion yuan, up 3.9% year-on-year. The exports totaled 232.8 billion yuan, up 4.3%, while the imports totaled 47.07 billion yuan, up 1.6%.
