The 135th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou from April 15 to May 5.

Zhongshan has 851 booths this time, including 309 brand booths and 542 general ones. A record high of 268 companies based in Zhongshan will take part in the event, up 8.1% from the previous session.

As a major foreign trade city in the Pearl River Delta, Zhongshan saw a year-on-year increase of 23.1% in total import and export value during the first two months of 2024.

The export of mechanical and electrical products surged by 30.8%, reaching an export value of 29.13 billion yuan, accounting for 79.4% of Zhongshan's total export value in the same period.

Among them, the export value of household appliances amounted to 9.64 billion yuan, up 43.9% year-on-year, and the that of lamps, lighting devices and parts reached 3.02 billion yuan, up 41.5%.
