The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) & Smart Lighting Expo kicked off at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on April 6. A total of 177 enterprises from Zhongshan participated in the exhibition, with an exhibition area of 2,343 square meters, to demonstrate the strength of the Zhongshan Lighting industry to the world.

The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair is one of the largest and most influential industry exhibitions in Asia, and one of the most influential lighting fairs in the world.

This year, the first Smart Lighting Expo was held concurrently. Zhongshan set up a 400-square-meter display area, with 26 enterprises showcasing new products, new technologies and new concepts of lighting.

"Previously, our principal markets were in Europe and America. Over the past two years, we have expanded into emerging markets with awe-inspiring results, in particular the rapidly growing Belt and Road markets. We anticipate a 20% growth in exports this year," said Jiang Zhen, deputy general manager of AiHome LED Lighting, one of the participating enterprises.

The lighting industry is a traditional competitive industry of Zhongshan, and there are over 10,000 LED manufacturers in the city. In 2023, Zhongshan's exports of lights, lighting fixtures and parts totaled 16 billion yuan. These products sell well in the US, EU, ASEAN, B&R partners and RCEP member countries.
