Customs statistics show that in the first two months of 2025, Zhongshan achieved a robust beginning in foreign trade, with total imports and exports reaching 44.95 billion yuan, up 7.9% year on year. Exports alone amounted to 39.75 billion yuan, up 8.5% year on year.

Last year, Zhongshan's total imports and exports exceeded 280 billion yuan, hitting a record high. In January and February this year, the city maintained rapid growth in foreign trade, with its exports ranking fifth in Guangdong Province after Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan and Foshan.

The export value of mechanical and electrical products rose 9.3% year on year to 31.81 billion yuan, accounting for over 80% of Zhongshan's total exports.

The export value of home appliances surged 11.2% year on year to 10.72 billion yuan, with those of air conditioners and washing machines increasing 33.5% and 53.9%, respectively.
