An overseas trade risk prevention training on January 9 drew attendance from over 100 foreign trade firms in Zhongshan. Several delegates confirmed Türkiye and Poland as "priority markets" in their 2026 expansion blueprints.

"Latin America and the Middle East are our core markets, but we are now targeting Poland and Türkiye," said a sales rep from INSE, a smart kitchen appliances maker in Zhongshan. The firm, mainly producing gas water heaters, stoves and range hoods, reported 2025 exports of 1 billion yuan, with gas water heaters accounting for over 50% of revenue.

An official from the Zhongshan Bureau of Commerce noted this strategic focus aligns with Belt and Road pragmatic cooperation. "Poland links the Land Silk Road to Europe, while Türkiye anchors the Middle Corridor. Presence in both opens diversified markets for Zhongshan's manufacturing-driven strategy."

Jan-Nov 2025 saw Zhongshan's foreign trade hit 261.05 billion yuan, up 1.1% YoY, with full-year projections at 287 billion yuan, marking 24 straight months of growth.
