In April, the peak spring planting season, Guangdong Jinxi Agricultural Technology Co in Zhongshan's Minzhong Subdistrict buzzes with activity. Daily shipments of approximately 20,000 banana seedlings are dispatched to vast tropical and subtropical farms worldwide.

The company's new flagship "Xianfen No.1" banana variety, co-developed with Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences' Fruit Tree Research Institute, has gained traction since its 2025 debut. It now supplies Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Hainan, and exports to Southeast Asian nations including the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
