The 2026 Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Exchange and Cooperation Conference was recently held in Zhongshan.

Through this exchange platform, the Northeast General Chamber of Commerce in Russia signed a strategic trade cooperation framework with several food enterprises in Zhongshan. Leveraging Russia's premium dairy resources and Zhongshan's well‑established ice‑cream production techniques and supply‑chain strengths, the two sides will co-explore new opportunities in the global cold‑drink market.

Customs data show that in the first 5 months of this year, Zhongshan exported 494 tonnes of ice cream worth 4.91 million yuan, mainly to the Middle East.
