Inquiries, sample orders and deal-making were in full swing on October 26 at the Phase 2 venue of the 140th China Import and Export Fair, better known as the Canton Fair, which was themed "Quality Home Life".

Nearly 30 companies from Zhongshan, China's shower room manufacturing base, took part in the fair, including Rosery, Sally, Neptum and Lens. By showcasing "Smart Made in Zhongshan", they won favour from global buyers at the event.

Shower room products made in Zhongshan account for more than 80 percent of the mid- and high-end market at home and abroad, a judgment borne out by the busy negotiations at the Canton Fair booths.

Fahad, a buyer from the United Arab Emirates, has worked with Rosery for years, starting with small trial orders. What surprised him was that beyond consistent quality, the Zhongshan company can customize products for hot and humid climates, from corrosion-resistant surface finishes to dust-proof seals.

Zhongshan is now home to more than 230 shower room manufacturers and over 150 core suppliers. Together they form a complete industrial chain that integrates R&D, design, production and sales, and spans upstream and downstream links from glass, hardware and sealing strips to profiles, with cluster output valued at 10 billion yuan.
