On September 19, Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce released the list of “2017 Guangdong Top 100 Private Enterprises”. Mingyang Group who ranks 57th with the operating income of 12.67bn yuan last year was the only Zhongshan-based enterprise on the list.

The list shows that most of the enterprises ranked top are related to communications, real estate, household appliances, new energy, finance and insurance. For example, Huawei ranks first, and Vanke and Evergrande Group rank third and fourth respectively. Mingyang Group was one of the exceptional electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing enterprises ranking among top60, which reflected the competitiveness of electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry of Zhongshan city.

According to the analysis of insiders, in the “era of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area”, Zhongshan is necessary and has potential to breed more leading companies, who can support development of private enterprise economy.

The Top 100 list was worked out by the provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce basing on the business revenue situation in 2016 and enterprises’ accounting chronologies.
