Early in 2012, opto-electronics lens made in Torch Zone had occupied 60% of the global production. So far, Torch Zone has developed a leading industrial system consisting of six major industries (optical microelectronics, new generation visual display, new generation photoelectric audio-visual device, high-end optical communication, high-end laser gear, imaging optical components). More than 70 renowned opto-electronics companies, which generate 60% of the global output of opto-electronics industry, have settled in Torch Zone.

This year, Torch Zone announced the temporary management methods for the developmental special fund of opto-electronics industry. An amount of 300mn yuan, which is disbursed from Torch Zone’s “Key Industries Supporting Funds”, will be used to support the opto-electronics industry.

Industry professionals believe that in two or three years’ time there might be new reform for the opto-electronics industry, as the 5G technology and optical photon encryption technique grow. Torch Zone is also willing to develop new platform for the development of the opto-electronics industry taking advantages of expert resources.
