“Changfeng Intelligent has established enterprise cooperation R&D platform in Zhongshan and achieved results in UAV and big data medical treatment since founded one year ago.” Said Shao Liwei, Director Institute of BIT in Zhongshan. Zhongshan Changfeng Intelligent Automation Equipment Institute Co Ltd is operational based on Key Laboratory of Intelligent Control and Decision of Complex System of BIT directed by Academician Chen Jie.

The cooperation between BIT and Zhongshan started ten years ago in 2008. Many local enterprises in Zhongshan explored a new development way relying on new-type R&D institutions of this kind.

In last December, the proposed list of the second national high-tech enterprises in Guangdong was released. Total 946 Zhongshan enterprises passed the high-tech enterprise evaluation last year, making the total number of high-tech enterprises in Zhongshan exceed 1,700. Zhongshan has seen doubled growth in the annual number of identified high-tech enterprises since 2015.

In recent years, high-tech products accounted for half of the above-scale industrial production value in Zhongshan. In the first 11 months of 2017, Zhongshan high-tech enterprises generated more than 100bn yuan retained profits in total.
