In recent days, leaders of West District Guan Ruilin and Ding Yong led an investigation team to visit 25 above-scale enterprises in the district to understand their development progress and problems encountered.

Reportedly, in 2017, total 20 enterprises in West District carried out technical reform, 10 of which were included the city’s “key technical reform projects” with 671mn yuan completed investment. The “intelligent workshop and warehouse” project of Hawley & Hazel Zhongshan company was selected as “Guangdong Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Project” last year.

Another Zhongshan-based company Glamor Lighting generated 180mn yuan production value last year. Its “Glamor LED Industrial Park” will be completed and put into operation this year. The company’s production value is expected to reach 300mn yuan this year.

Some other key projects in West District see rapid progresses. Both the 200-million-yuan freezing and processing project of Zhijie Food Co Ltd and the 60-million-yuan packaging project of Zhongyi Color Printing have started construction. The new energy technology project of Quanmei Energy Group has been operational. Mingfeng company is doing equipment preparation for its precision machinery project. Julong Textile Machinery Technology and Glamor Lighting are expected to finish land preparation for their newly-signed capital increased projects within the first half of this year.

These sophisticated projects, put into operation or to start construction, would provide strong support to West District’s innovation and economic development.
