Zhongshan has recently announced the “implementation opinions of idle plants revitalization”, according to Zhongshan Economic and Information Technology Bureau. The implementation opinions will come into effect on June 15.

Through idle plants revitalization, Zhongshan encourages development of advanced equipment manufacturing, high-end electronic information, medicine health, new energy, new material, internet of things, big data and relevant industries and encourages introduction of large-scale, high-benefit and quality small and medium size projects with developing potential.

The implementation opinions define “approved projects” of revitalized idle plants include capital expansion projects of existing above scale enterprises’ and projects scaling up to designate size in two years. Settled enterprise of revitalized idle plants can receive 6 yuan/sqm monthly rental subsidy (2 million yuan per year at most) for three years’ time. Any major investment project settling in transitional plants will be financed as well.

Once the implementation opinions come into effect, the original implementing suggestions on idle plants revitalization and zinc-iron sheds renovation will be abolished.
