China ranks 17th in The Global Innovation Index 2018 released by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Cornell University and other institutions recently. It was the first time China breaks into the top 20. 

Zhongshan sees growth “innovation index” these years as well. The statistics released by Zhongshan Science and Technology Bureau shows that Torch Zone (including Tsuihang New District) possesses 674 inventive patents and 188 patents granted. Both figures rank 1st in Zhongshan.
