The contract signing ceremony of the Zhongshan (Shiqi) Headquarter Economic Development PPP Project was held in Shiqi District Office on the afternoon of August 1. CCCC Urban Investment Holding Company Limited and CCCC-FHDI Engineering Co Ltd won the bidding of the construction and operation right of the project.

The main part of Zhongshan (Shiqi) Headquarter Economic Zone borders Qijiang River to the north, Shenghua Road and Fukang Road to the south, Donghua Road to the west, and Qiwan Avenue to the east, with total planned area of 1.1 sqkm and total investment of over 50bn yuan. The project will be advanced under “PPP+EPC” mode. The construction period will last for 3 years, and the operation and maintenance period will be 10 years.

The PPP project has two parts: the basic installation, including land leveling, road construction, landscape construction, pipeline installation and river-crossing tunnel building, and construction of supporting facilities, including kindergartens, provincial first-grade primary schools, administration office buildings, health service centers, cultural facilities, sports facilities, refuse transfer stations, electric substations, space corridors, public parking lots, underground space, public transport facilities and transfer centers, and etc.

At present, Shiqi District has 10 headquarter enterprises at municipal and district levels. These companies generated more than 2.8bn yuan tax last year, which accounted for more than 50% of the total tax revenue of the district.
