In the first half of the year, Zhongshan investigated and treated 196 false and illegal advertisement cases, with total fine of 910 thousand yuan. The figures increased 83% and 98% from a year earlier respectively, according to Zhongshan Industrial and Commercial Bureau.

In order to build a trustworthy and fair internet market environment, the bureau recently launched the “internet market special supervision action” jointly with other departments. The action, which will last until November, mainly fights against illegal behaviors including internet infringement, fake online shopping orders and credit, misleading propaganda, false advertisement, and etc.
