The 2018 Zhongshsn Investment Environment Promotion Conference was held on September 14. About 300 people, representing The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce, German Chamber of Commerce, IDA Ireland, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Global 500 including CBRE Group, Microsoft China, Mitsubishi UFJ Bank and etc, and local companies such as Changhong, MLS and Akesobio, attended the conference.

George Lau, president of South China Chapter of The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Dr Xia Yu, president and CEO of Akesobio, Lin Jiliang, executive general manager of MLS, and other 2 representatives discussed the topic “Opportunities and Challenges of the Greater Bay Area” during the panel discussion section. They believed Zhongshan would have advantages in terms of location, industrial support and business environment under the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The city should achieve development and breakthroughs when building an important pillar of the Greater Bay Area by seizing the major opportunities and drawing on core advantages.
