China National Light Industry Council and China Household Electrical Appliances Association conducted the field appraisal in Nantou, Zhongshan on September 26 to 27 for re-evaluating Nantou's “China Home Appliance Production Base” title and the title upgrading to “China Brand Base of Home Appliances”.

The appraisal group believed Nantou met all economic requirements and agreed to grant the “China Brand Base of Home Appliances” title to Nantou town.

Reportedly, Nantou was the first approved “China Brand Base of Home Appliances” across the country.

Nantou was the first being awarded township “China Home Appliance Production Base” title in 2004, and passed title re-evaluation for two times respectively in 2010 and 2015.

At present, Nantou owns 59 national and provincial famous brands and trademarks, including 10 “China famous Brands” and 39 “Guangdong Top Brands”. The output value of home appliances industry of Nantou reached 45bn yuan last year, accounting for over 72% of the total township industrial output value.
