The 2018 Chinese City Exhibition Industry Competitiveness Index was released days before. A total of 20 cities including Zhongshan were selected as “China's Most Competitive Exhibition City”.

Reportedly, it is the third consecutive year Zhongshan City wins this honor.

The selection is conducted basing on last year’s exhibition industry competitiveness index, which covers 142 convention and exhibition cities including 19 municipalities and sub-provincial cities as well as 123 provincial capitals and prefecture-level cities. 

In the “Provincial Capitals and Prefecture-level Cities Ranking”, Zhongshan ranked 8th with a 29.847 points of exhibition competitiveness.
