Local insurance industry has been actively carrying out business property insurance services, according to Zhongshan Association of Insurance Industry. An amount of 644.4bn yuan risk guarantees had been provided to 11,600 local companies and 130mn yuan of indemnity had been paid, which relieved companies’ operational risks such as capital chain breaking or production suspension caused by natural disaster or accident.

Meanwhile, the local insurance industry also accelerates the development of liability insurance services in such areas as food safety, medical duty, production safety, public liability for fire, etc.

This year, Zhongshan adds three types of insurance respectively for rice seed production, orange cultivation and farming facilities and increases insured amount for “rice”, “corn”, “potato”, “fertile sow” and “piglet”. Total premium income of agricultural insurance amounts to 2.41mn yuan, with assumption of risk of 56.64mn yuan and claimed payment of 3.64mn yuan.
