The Zhongshan Xiaolan (Shenzhen) Investment Promotion Conference cum with Intelligent Industry Development Forum was held in Shenzhen on January 11. The Xiaolan government signed an advantageous contract with a strategic company from the influential Alibaba Group. This contract aims to connect with Shenzhen-based one-stop service providers of intelligent hardware terminals.

In addition, the Xiaolan government signed smart lock-related strategic cooperation agreements with 6 institutions on the very same day. Signatories to these agreements included Holitech Technology, Whale Cloud Technology, Shenzhen Ccfrom, Xinliguang Group, Yixun IOT Technology, and China Mobile's Zhongshan branch.

Wei Hongrui, the Town Mayor of Xiaolan, stated that Xiaolan will seize the opportunity to develop both the next generation of information technology and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Xiaolan will promote sectors that have been traditionally advantaged, such as the lock industry, with the intention to optimize and upgrade local intellectual industries, such as the aforementioned intelligent lock, as well as intelligent security and intelligent home. With these efforts, Xiaolan will accelerate revolution in quality standards, efficiency and power.

Xiaolan currently accounts for approximately 20% of the total production output of the domestic intelligent lock industry, says Zhao Hongwu, Director of the Lock Information Center of China Daily Hardware Technology Development Center. He believes high-end manufacturing, high brand and technology added value, and high quality development will be the major developing directions of Xiaolan's intelligent lock industry and hardware manufacturing sector.

Right now, there are more than 150 smart lock manufacturers and over 5,300 supporting enterprises in Xiaolan. The production value of these entities now exceeds 10 billion yuan. The town government will spare no effort to build an intelligent lock industrial park with 350 Mu (Chinese acres, just over 23 hectares) of total area within the sprawling Xiaolan Park, the so-called Zhongshan Industrial Development Platform.
