The China-Israeli Valley Science Innovation Forum was held Monday morning in Zhongshan. The forum aims to promote Israel's Weizmann Institute of Science and the Israeli international artificial intelligence organization WAIO to Zhongshan. 

The "China-Israeli Valley" was originally proposed as a benchmark cooperative development program between China and Israel. The cooperative framework of the project is expected to be set in place by the end of 2019.

The "China-Israeli Valley" has been publicized as covering an area of over one million square meters. It functions in two aspects. The first aspect is "incubation", and it includes the introduction of talent and technologies. The other one is intelligent manufacturing. These aspects utilize technologies from Israel to pursue cooperative development benefits with local and domestic firms.

"The Weizmann Institute of Science is one of the world's top 10 scientific and technological institutions with a solid foundation in such areas as bio-pharmaceutical and artificial intelligence," says Lin Weiqiang, Director of Zhongshan Commercial Affairs Bureau. He believes that, in the future, the "China-Israeli Valley" will become Israel's largest science technology park in China and help promote Zhongshan's industrial development by introducing Israeli world-class technologies and projects.
