According to the pre and post-Spring Festival employment data released last Friday by the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau (ZSHRSSB), local companies are presently in need of 42,000 workers. The post-holiday jobs gap is expected to reach 14,000.

A seasonal labor shortage typically occurs each year within some occupations. This issue is exacerbated when local companies resume work after the Spring Festival. An official representative of the ZSHRSSB indicated that all companies in Zhongshan had come back into operation as of February 28. Zhongshan held a 97.4% rework rate for migrant workers. The rework rate of workers from other provinces reached 95.2%.

After the Spring Festival holiday, Zhongshan carried out 73 theme job fairs. A total of 6,956 people expressed their job interests to numerous Zhongshan employers during these activities.
