Luo Jingwen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Zhongshan Taxation Bureau, along with other bureau officials, was invited to the radio program "Friday on Air" on March 8. The guests had a conversation regarding the topics of taxation, fee reductions, and tax-related services with listeners.

Luo revealed that the local taxation authority has been supporting electronic tax services for citizens of Zhongshan in recent years. So far, taxpayers and fee-payers can manage over 1,000 tax-related matters in 9 categories without leaving home through the "E-Tax Bureau."

At present, Zhongshan has 350,000 regular taxpayers, 2.56 million natural taxpayers and 2.66 million fee-payers. In 2018, all of these tax-payers completed a total of 8.4 million transactions through the online "E-Tax Bureau," accounting for approximately 23,000 per day, on average.

"In addition, the local taxation department introduced 24 convenience measures in 6 categories last year," Luo said. He went on to say, "The 'Online Banking-Taxation Interaction' program, for instance, makes it easier for taxpayers to successfully obtain credit loans." Nearly 4,500 enterprises obtained 4.8 billion yuan worth of loans through this single program in 2018. Another 3,700 natural individuals received over 400 million yuan worth of loans by taking advantage of the program last year.
