The Review Conference on the 2019-2023 Denim Industry Development Plan of Dachong Town was recently organized. The Plan is expected to be released in the second half of the year and will give directives for the development and transformation of the denim industry for the next five years. 

This is the first development plan for the denim industry in Dachong.

According to the Plan, the denim industry of Dachong is oriented towards science and technology, green and fashion, thereby making the town an advanced denim manufacturing center in the whole industry. The denim industry is equally a model of transformation and upgrading of the traditional manufacturing industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and an engine of economic growth of the town. 

According to the Plan, the output value of the denim industry in Dachong will exceed 13 billion yuan by 2023. 

By the end of last year, there were more than 1,000 garment manufacturers in Dachong Town, with over 2 million square meters of standard factories. There were also 2,500 sets of high-level washing equipment in the town, with a daily washing capacity of 1.5 million suits.
