As the construction fund standard of major national water conservancy projects drops by 50%, the price reduction will be fully imposed on lowering the electricity price for general industrial and commercial use in Guangdong, according to the Zhongshan Development and Reform Bureau.

Starting from July 1, 2019, Zhongshan will lower the electricity price for general industrial and commercial use by 5.39 cents per kilowatt-hour (tax included), with corresponding adjustment to cool storage electricity price. This will be the second down-regulation on electricity price for general industrial and commercial use this year.

It is estimated that the adjustments will help industrial and commercial enterprises in Zhongshan reduce 430 million yuan per year in electricity cost.
