CCTV2 broadcast the latest episode of The Consumer Advocate program on the evening of June 19. Entitled "New Technology in Home Decoration: the Changing Lights", the episode reported the new trends of home lighting in Zhongshan's Guzhen Town, the lighting capital of China. 

From online light fitting, to intelligent lighting system that allows lighting mode switching in  accordance with life scenes, and to smart voice-controlled box that can manage all lights in the house......As the domestic smart home market rises, more and more companies are embracing "intelligent lighting", and more and more of them choose to open experience stores in Guzhen.

Sun Qingbo, General Manager of Hoyifo Smart Home, predicted the domestic smart home market will explode in 2020, owing to the technology development and the continuous promotion of e-commerce giants.

Hoyifo just opened its smart home flagship store this month. Sun said the company had already opened over 20 experience stores over past two years, but they still decided to set up the flagship store in Zhongshan's Guzhen. "Merchants at home and abroad are certain to come here, the lighting capital of China, if they want to know more about lighting products."

In recent years, "smart home" has become a new concept integrating big data, consumer electronics, Internet of Things and other elements. In Sun's opinion, lighting is exactly the access to smart home that drives other fields such as audio and video, safety monitoring, sense control, temperature control and electronic control.

An increasing number of smart lighting experience stores are opened in the Guzhen-based Star Alliance. According to Ou Decheng, Secretary-General of Zhongshan Association of Lighting Industry, light fixtures are not only for lighting purpose, but also becoming more advanced and user-friendly now.

As an important part, lighting has seen rapid development along with the expanding smart home market in recent years. It is reported that the intelligent lighting market is growing at a 25% rate per year.
