The Zhongshan Bureau of Commerce (ZSBOC) joined hands with ICBC Zhongshan Branch, Ha Noi Branch (Vietnam) and Phnom Penh Branch (Cambodia), BW Industrial Park (Vietnam), Hong Yeung Industrial Park (Vietnam) and China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation in organizing an investment cooperation policy information session on June 19. A total of 150 representatives from town-level and district-level departments, chambers of commerce and companies attended this Session.

With the accelerating pace of "going global", Zhongshan companies have paid more attention to countries including Vietnam and Cambodia. From January to May 2019, Zhongshan-Vietnam and Zhongshan-Cambodia import and export increased by 14.65% and 113.75% respectively year on year.

As of May 2019, Zhongshan companies had set up 13 investment projects worth US$66.88 million, covering furniture, electrical machinery, lighting and hardware.  Up to 70% of these projects were established since 2018.

The policy information session is the first event marking the start of cooperation between Zhongshan and Vietnam and Cambodia. During the session, the ICBC Zhongshan Branch, Ha Noi Branch and Phnom Penh Branch introduced investment environment and supporting financial policies in Vietnam and Cambodia.

There are currently over 300 industrial parks in Vietnam, each of which enjoys different preferential policies and supporting services. (from Guangzhou Daily)
