The Zhongshan HaiYa International Business Maker Center (Zhongshan HaiYa Mega Mall) recently began construction. This will be a new business landmark in Nantou Town, Zhongshan City.

According to a government offiical of Nantou, HaiYa Mega Mall is a key project in Guangdong and Zhongshan. It serves as an important catalyst for Nantou business that will improve the revenue functions of the town and vigorously promote Nantou's development of its modern service sector.

As planned, the center will be a landmark complex that will utilize the advantageous resources of the Greater Bay Area. It will help accelerate the comprehensive connections between Nantou and high-quality industrial resources, human resources and innovation resources from major Greater Bay Area cities, including Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Foshan.

The center is one of the city's key investment attraction projects. The Haiya Group will invest 9 billion yuan ($1.3 billion) in this 1.2 million square meter complex while integrating residential areas, apartments, commercial centers, the Guangdong Home Appliance Center, star hotels and art centers. The 148-meter high twin-tower building will be the signature highlight of the project. Plans call for one tower to be a grade-A office building.

Future plans call for the project to connect to the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Inter-city Railway, Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. The center will be integrated into the "one-hour life circle" in the Greater Bay Area.

In 2019, Nantou will continue to promote 6 provincial and municipal key projects, including HaiYa Mega Mall and Hongji e Valley international industrial park. These projects comprise a total investment of 6.8 billion yuan ($990 million).
