To respond to future development trends, Xiaolan Town plans to build a 350-mu (about 233,333 square meters) smart lock industrial park to boost the high-quality development of the smart lock industry.

Presently, the number of smart lock manufacturing enterprises in Xiaolan exceeds 150 and the output value amounts to more than 10 billion yuan, why Xiaolan won the title of "the industrial base of smart locks in China" in 2018. With the constant technological innovations and the rapid development of 5G IoT, Xiaolan Town's smart lock development also welcomes new opportunities and faces new challenges as well.

At the "5G Innovative Development Conference 2019" recently held in Guangzhou, Li Jiahao, member of the CPC Committee of Xiaolan Town, pointed out that the present market penetration of smart locks in China is only 6.25%, an indication of the industry's great market growth potential. With the integrative development of such technologies as IoT, mobile internet, big data and cloud computing, the concept of smart household products will be realized, so that the smart lock, as the first entry of the smart home market, will see a tremendous growth.

Xiaolan Town is presently building Xiaolan Park, one of Zhongshan's industrial development platforms, and plans to build a smart lock industrial park with a planned area of 350 mu, with the purpose of providing a base for innovative smart lock enterprises and its upstream and downstream industrial chains.

The park will be located in the No. 2 Jidong Community, where a supporting commercial area was built and supporting public service facilities are planned. Meanwhile, platform services such as industrial development solutions, inspection and test services will be provided to support the high-quality development of the smart lock industry in an all-round way.
