The exposure draft of the Administrative Measures of Zhongshan's Enterprise Library of Emerging Service Industries (Revised Version) drawn up under the leadership of the Zhongshan Development and Reform Bureau was published recently. The bureau will solicit public opinions from August 26 to September 9. According to the exposure draft, the number of key service industries and fields to now be fostered in Zhongshan will be further expanded to a total of 11.
These key service industries and fields include emerging finance, professional services, cultural creativity, emerging tourism, education & sports, emerging information technology services, R&D and scientific and technological services, modern logistics, health services, business and trade, and inspection and testing.
The new measures will add 3 new industries and fields; namely emerging tourism, education and sports, and inspection and testing. While these areas were added, other subdivided industries were adjusted. For example, Zhongshan will focus on developing all-for-one tourism, cultural tourism, sports tourism, health tourism, game and amusement, homestay, car camping, digital tourism, and other forms within the emerging tourism area.
There are now more than 700 emerging businesses in Zhongshan, which have become the new driving force for the development of Zhongshan's service industry. Last year, the added value of the modern service industry accounted for 61.8% of the total added value of the service industry in Zhongshan. The city's growth rate of added value of service industry and the total volume and proportion of modern service industry both rank third among the 9 cities in the Pearl River Delta.
