The Guangdong Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently released the 2019 list of 100 specialized towns featuring "One Village with One Product, One Town for One Industry".

This year's list includes three Zhongshan towns: Dongsheng Town with crisped grass carp as its leading industry, Henglan Town with its experts in the flower & seedlings industry, and Huangpu Town which specializes in the preserved food industry. 

Rich in water resources, Dongsheng is the important source and main production area of crisp grass carp. It is China's largest town specialized in crisped grass carp with a total area of 16,000 mu (10.67 square kilometers). Dongsheng's crisped grass carp is sold to Fujian, Guangxi, Beijing, Hong Kong, Macao, and many other provinces and cities as well as surrounding countires such as Vietnam.

Henglan Town, the state-level ecological township, is the "Home of Flowers and Trees in China". At present, Henglan has a total flower and tree planting area of about 26,000 mu (17.3 square kilometers). This area nurtures more than 500 varieties of flowers and trees and is home to more than 2,000 flower and tree farms. Nearly 20,000 employees sustain this vibrant flower and tree industry. The town's flower and tree products are sold to more than 30 provinces and cities across China with annual sales of more than 2 billion yuan.

Huangpu Town is a demonstration base in China's food industry. This productive town is a national agricultural product processing and entrepreneurial base, and it is famous in the the production of Chinese preserved food. At present, Huangpu has attracted more than 200 preserved food manufacturing companies and their support manufacturers. Moreover, Huangpu Town has allowed the development of a number of Huangpu preserved meat brands. Guangdong preserved food manufacturers' output rank at the top in China.
