The opening ceremony of VX Zhongshan Logistics Park and Zhongshan Home Appliances Production Warehouse of JD Logistics was held in Huangpu on October 31. The logistics park, as JD's largest individual warehouse for large goods logistics in the southern part of China, will significantly improve the logistic distribution speed of large goods of Zhongshan local household appliances enterprises and reduce transportation costs.

VX Zhongshan Logistics Park has been under construction since June last year, with a total investment of 480 million yuan and a construction area of 88,962.2 square meters. The park consists of two two-story storehouses, a shift building, ramps and unloading platforms, and is equipped with parking lots, dormitories, restaurants, kitchens and other facilities.

The logistics park has got the attention of domestic e-commerce giant JD. Under the support and guidance of the governments of Zhongshan City and Huangpu Town, JD Logistics settles its warehouse in Zhongshan by renting an entire storehouse of VX Logistics Park as its household appliance production warehouse.

This is JD Logistics' important logistics warehousing center for large goods in South China. In addition, it also serves as the logistic site for some small and medium-sized goods.

Thanks to the logistics park, Zhongshan citizens who place orders for large local electrical appliances on the early morning of "Double 11" shopping festival will be able to receive goods on that forenoon at the soonest.

Huangpu Town is a manufacturing base of household appliances in China. It is presently home to more than 1,000 household appliances manufacturers and over 300 supporting enterprises.

"Once the construction is over, VX Zhongshan Logistics Park will cover the main urban areas of Guanzhou, Foshan and Dongguan as well as Shenzhen Airport within 50 kilometers from the park, and will become a regional distribution base for the four core cities in the Pearl River Delta," said Chen Yanming, general manager of Guangzhou Business Division of VX Logistics Properties.
