The National Academy of Development and Strategy, RUC, one of China's top think tanks, recently released the ranking list of Chinese cities by politics-commerce relationship for 2018, with 292 prefecture-level and above cities being assessed comprehensively.

Data revealed that, the top 10 cities with healthy politics-commerce relationship are Dongguan, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Shanghai, Zhongshan, Xiamen, Beijing, Guangzhou, Jinan and Foshan. Compared with last year, Zhongshan rose by 35 places.

In recent years, Zhongshan has continuously optimized its business environment. The rise in the rankings means that Zhongshan is more attractive to investors and is equally willing to provide an open environment for start-ups.

By late July 2019, there are over 400,000 registered market entities in Zhongshan, involving a total registered capital of 676.8 billion yuan.
