The municipal science and technology bureau recently issued the "Methods for the Use of Special Funds for Science and Technology Innovation and Development of Enterprises in Zhongshan". The Methods take effect from the date of promulgation and will be valid for 3 years.

According to the Methods, the special funds are used to support companies in carrying out scientific and technological innovation activities and encourage companies to increase investment in research and development.

The special funds are provided to companies registered in Zhongshan with good credit standings.

There are 5 types of special funds: High-tech enterprise recognition subsidy, enterprise research and development subsidy, consulting and supporting subsidy for enterprise management upgrading, provincial science and technology innovation voucher supporting subsidy, as well as national and provincial science and technology award subsidy.

Specifically, the Methods mention to provide a one-time subsidy of 100,000 yuan to high-tech companies whose operating income is not less than 20 million yuan as approved in the previous year; if the operating income is less than 20 million yuan, the lump-sum subsidy shall be 50,000 yuan.

Any high-tech company that recently moves to Zhongshan with an annual operating income of more than 20 million yuan, promises not to move out within 3 years, and maintains an annual operating income of more than 20 million yuan, will be eiligible for a one-time subsidy of 1 million yuan.
