Based on data released by the Zhongshan Administration for Market Regulation a few days ago, by the end of October, Zhongshan had 413,900 registered market entities of various kinds (including branch offices, the same below), an increase of 36,300 over the same period of last year, up 9.62% year-on-year.

The actual registered capital (fund) stood at about 698.956 billion yuan, an increase of 76.021 billion yuan over the same period last year, up 12.20% year-on-year.

By late October, there were 10,588 domestic-funded enterprises in Zhongshan, up 4.72% year-on-year; the registered capital (fund) was 218.568 billion yuan, with an increase of 10.46%.

Further, there were 9,627 corporate firms, an increase of 6.98% over the same period last year, which account for 90.92% of the total number of enterprises with domestic funding.

In addition to this, there were 248,577 individual businesses in Zhongshan by late October, an increase of 9.81% over the same period last year. The actual registered capital (fund) was 7.101 billion yuan, up 23.07% year-on-year. A total of 25,111 individual businesses successfully transformed and upgraded into enterprises.
