On the afternoon of December 27, Guangdong Smart Pole Manufacturing Base Investment and Development Co Ltd was inaugurated in Henglan Town.

Meanwhile, the Henglan Town Government, Guangdong Huajian Enterprise Group Co Ltd (a subsidiary of Guangdong Rising Assets Management Co Ltd), China Mobile Zhongshan Branch and the Smart Light Pole Manufacturing Base signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the "China 5G Smart Light Pole Demonstration and Manufacturing Base and Other Projects".

Under this agreement, these four parties would build a "China 5G Smart Light Pole Manufacturing Base" in Henglan Town, build Zhongshan's first smart light pole pilot demonstration area in Henglan Town, and further introduce upstream and downstream enterprises related to smart light pole manufacturing into the base.

In conformity with this introduction, the Henglan base will serve the construction of smart cities in countries along the Belt and Road. The objective is to develop the smart light pole manufacturing base into the preferred supply place for smart light poles in South China, whose potential production capacity will be over 100 billion yuan.

Henglan Town is a well-known place which manufactures street lamps and lighting products in China, and there are hundreds of street lamp manufacturing enterprises such as Guangdong Zhongyi Heavy Industry Co Ltd that has a history of more than 30 years.
