Zhongshan Development and Reform Bureau had recently issued a notice on temporary reduction of electricity costs for enterprises.

According to the notice, the scope of this electricity price reduction is, apart from for users in high energy consuming industries, for power users (including users participating in electricity market transactions) who are currently implementing general industrial and commercial electricity prices and large industrial electricity prices. From February 1 to June 30, power grid enterprises would uniformly settle accounts at 95% of original household electricity price when calculating and collecting the electricity charges of the above-mentioned power users.

After calculation, the policy of temporary electricity cost reduction for enterprises can reduce the electricity cost burden of general industrial businesses and large industries in Zhongshan by about 240 million yuan.
