The Urban Renewal Bureau of Zhongshan City will speed up the revitalization of inefficient industrial land in towns and villages and promote the renovation and upgrading of old factory buildings as its top priority in 2020, so as to achieve the city's annual work target of renovating 233.3 hectares (3,500 mu) of old factory buildings.

Zhongshan City is preparing to hold the first introduction and promotion meeting of urban renewal ("three old" reform) projects, properly promote the on-site meeting of the Zhongshan City's "transforming old factory buildings into new ones" projects, and to explore market-oriented means to broaden the communication between inefficient industrial land in towns and villages and investment enterprises.

After preliminary examination and approval, renovation of six "transforming old factory buildings into new ones" projects, including the expansion of Nox-Bellcow central factory in Nantou Town, the renovation of the old factory building of Southern Logistics Group, and the renovation of the old factory building of Guangdong Qiangli Technology Co Ltd in Huangpu Town, have recently been approved by Zhongshan People's Government for implementation.

The six projects cover a total land area of 13.5 hectares (202.5 mu), all of which are planned to start construction within the year. It is estimated that nearly 750 million yuan will be invested, and their total industrial output value is expected to reach 7.79 billion yuan after the renovation.
