In Phase I of the Mingyang Smart Electric Industrial Park, a key provincial project in Zhongshan, the transformer factory has already begun operation on April 3. The factory building in Phase II has been finished and under the exterior wall construction.
Zhong Huaju, infrastructure project manager of Mingyang Electric Group, said that by optimizing the construction organization, the company strives to catch up with the construction schedule delays caused by the epidemic in the shortest possible time and strives to complete phase II of the project in June this year. An intelligent and green energy industrial park is about to be launched.
The project is located in Huazhao Village, Nanlang Town, with a total planned land area of 350 mu (about 23.3 hectares), and will be constructed in two phases. It covers research & development buildings, office buildings, smart electricity factories, transformer factories, and other facilities, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. The Industrial Park will offer comprehensive solutions in terms of intelligent electricity, power quality and energy efficiency management for the intelligent electrical industry that focuses on the manufacturing of products in such fields as power electronification and digitalization, intelligent power transmission, distribution and transformation, and etc.
"An 8-MW, 100,000-square-meter distributed photovoltaic power generation and grid-connected system will be built based on the roofs of the factories and office buildings to achieve self-sufficiency of the park. An ice-storage cooling system will also be built to make full use of the surplus electricity at night," said Zhong Huaju, adding that by completion, the park will truly realize a green energy supply.
