It is learned from the Zhongshan Insurance Industry Association that so far this year, Zhongshan's premium insurance income has reached 9.781 billion yuan, up 16.87% year on year. Among them, the premium income of life insurance companies was 8.139 billion yuan, up 21.74% year on year. The insurance industry assumed 1.72 trillion yuan of various risks for Zhongshan city's economic construction and improvement of people's livelihood, up 3.98% year on year.

Since the beginning of this year, due to the impact of the epidemic, the number of employees in the insurance industry in Zhongshan city has decreased by 1,444 compared with the same period last year, to 32,514. There are 63 insurance companies currently in Zhongshan, including 28 property insurance companies and 35 life insurance companies.

These companies have compensated (paid) a total of 1.655 billion yuan this year, down 7.17% year on year.
