"The Zhongshan Forum for Cross Straits serves as an important bridge to connect Taiwan with the mainland. Held in Zhongshan, it especially boosts the confidence of Taiwan-funded enterprises to pursue further development." Zhao Haoqin, special assistant from the Human Resources Department of Zhongshan Elite Material Co Ltd (Zhongshan EMC) said in an interview.

"Zhongshan is in the geometric center of the Pearl River Delta, adjacent to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao. It enjoys good accessibility via water, land and air. At the same time, with profound attention to the humanities and simple folk customs, Zhongshan is perfect for running companies and for living." Zhao Haoqin explained when he was asked why EMC chose to set up a factory in Zhongshan.

Founded in 2004, Zhongshan EMC mainly produces prepreg and copper clad laminates (CCL), with an output value last year of nearly 2 billion yuan. In the high-end smart phone market, EMC's copper clad laminate supply ranks first, accounting for more than 70% of the total market.

Although Zhongshan EMC's production capacity decreased in the first quarter because of the epidemic, since the second quarter, the company has quickly caught up with full production, and the annual output value is expected to increase to a certain extent.

"We have made preparations in advance to enter the 5G era. In the next few years, we will focus on 5G infrastructure construction to strengthen our Zhongshan base." Zhao Haoqin said confidently.
