The 2020 Henglan Gardening Skills Contest, a highlight activity of the 2020 China (Zhongshan) Flowers and Trees Trade Fair, kicked off in Henglan Flowers and Trees Base on October 30.

The competition features participants from village (community) trade unions, flowers and trees farms and companies, with 4 members on each team and 1 team leader. The contest includes 6 events, including garden plant identification, garden plant potting, garden plant pruning, garden bonsai pruning, garden nursery stock unloading relay, and garden landscaping design competition.

"According to the final scores, the first, second and third place teams and outstanding teams will be selected. In addition, the top competitors in each event will also be awarded," said Liang Shenhua, president of the Henglan Flowers and Tress Association, adding that at least 23 teams have signed up for the contest.
