The Zhongshan-Hong Kong Forum of Health and Medicine Industry that was co-sponsored by the National Health Technology Park and Greater Bay Area Hong Kong Center was held in Zhongshan on the afternoon of March 28.

As one of the activities of the 2021 Zhongshan Trade and Investment Fair, it aims to strengthen Zhongshan and Hong Kong's connection in innovation and industrial resources of the health and medicine industry, which can contribute to the innovative development of Zhongshan's health and pharmaceutical industry.

Leaders and guests from Hong Kong, Macao and the Mainland delivered speeches at this forum. Representatives of health and pharmaceutical enterprises in Zhongshan and Hong Kong, as well as representatives of medical institutions, trade associations and business associations also joined in on the discussion. All parties jointly discussed opportunities and cooperation methods for the development of the health and medicine industry regarding investment environment promotion, policy interpretation, academic exchanges, entrepreneur experience sharing, and other forms. 

The bilingual live broadcast of the event attracted extensive attention from people from all walks of life at home and abroad.

It is reported that Zhongshan has always maintained close cooperation with the health industry in Hong Kong and Macao. A number of Hong Kong-invested enterprises such as United Laboratories, Yabai Pharmaceuticals (China) Co Ltd and Euro Asia Packaging have bases in Zhongshan, while Zhongshan enterprises such as Zhongzhi Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited and Akeso Biopharma Inc have been listed in the Hong Kong Stocks.
