Zhongshan has set up special reward funds for young talent who devote themselves to the development of their hometown.
Graduates with bachelor's, master's or doctor's degree are eligible to apply for the rewards. Specifically, full-time graduates who have studied in "World First-class Universities" as approved by the Ministry of Education or one of the top 100 overseas universities according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and graduated after March 27, 2020 and returned to Zhongshan to work full-time within 3 years of graduation.
In addition, the applicants are required to meet six requirements, one of which is that their age at the time of application should be under 35.
Young talent who studied in top 30 universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for both their undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral education and have obtained doctoral degrees can be rewarded with 300,000 yuan. Other talent who have studied in qualifying universities beginning with undergraduate education can be rewarded with 100,000 yuan.
The rewards can be divided into two parts: a 40% homecoming award and a 60% employment incentive. Each portion should be applied separately. Young talent can apply for the employment incentive only after getting the homecoming award.
