After years of development, Henglan Town has become the most influential flower and tree production and sales base in Southern China and gradually evolved into a popular tourism destination. On May 20, reporters from Nanfang Daily, Yangcheng Evening News and other leading media organizations in Guangdong Province visited Henglan Town to investigate and learn about the impact of the horticulture industry on rural revitalization.
At present, Henglan Town has a total area of about 2,000 hectares for flower and tree planting. It has formed a green industrial belt of flower and tree production mainly based in Sansha and Wusha Villages and along Gushen Highway.
Different from traditional horticulture bases, Henglan has large-scale production and sales and integrates planting, selling and product displays, with a complete industrial chain, and has become an important seedling distribution center in Southern China.
There are more than 2,600 horticulture bases in Henglan, with more than 1,000 plant varieties, over 20,000 employees, and nearly 1,000 managers. Over 20,000 hectares of flowers and trees planted outside Henglan are for sale here, and flower and tree products are sold to more than 30 provinces and cities nationwide including Fujian, Guangxi, Hunan, Sichuan and Chongqing, with an annual sales of nearly 5 billion yuan.
