Rows of fishing boats slowly sailed out from the Hengmen Waterway under the cover of fog. Around 12 am on August 16, the summer fishing ban in the South China Sea this year, which lasted for over 3 months, came to an end.

To celebrate the resumption of fishing activities, the first Zhongshan Fishing Festival and Seafood Cuisine Carnival was held in Nanlang District. At the event, the sound of whistles, motors and firecrackers resounded over the Hengmen Fishing Port.

It is reported that Nanlang District plans to promote the integrated development of fisheries with tourism and build a batch of modern fisheries and leisure fishing spots that comprehensively include production, sightseeing and entertainment, in order to transform and upgrade the fishery industry and increase fishermen's income.
