Zhongshan mayor Xiao Zhanxin on August 20 met with Wang Nianqiang, co-founder of BYD Company Ltd and CEO of BYD Electronics. Both sides exchanged views on speeding up the company's project construction as well as on long-term cooperation between Zhongshan and BYD.

Xiao said that Zhongshan highly values its cooperation with Fortune Global 500 companies, central government-owned and state-owned enterprises and leading enterprises. BYD has a wide portfolio of businesses and strong innovation capabilities and should have fruitful results with its cooperation with Zhongshan. Zhongshan sincerely welcomes BYD and other quality enterprises to invest in the city, and Zhongshan will always strive to create favorable conditions for enterprises to take root in the city, supporting them to grow bigger and stronger.

Wang noted that BYD is optimistic about the geographical location, industrial bases and business environment of Zhongshan, and has full confidence in the city's future development. While accelerating the progress of existing cooperation projects, BYD will plan for long-term cooperation and work with Zhongshan to pursue high-quality development and create high quality of life.
